The journey
From November 25 to December 5, 2023, the group traveled through the heart of holiday-season Europe:
- Two nights in Prague before boarding
- A six-night cruise along the Danube
- Vienna, with the Hofburg Palace and the Vienna Opera House
- The vineyard-lined Wachau Valley
- Passau, Nuremberg and Würzburg
- And at nearly every stop — Christmas markets
Easy does it
This was a Collette Level 1 trip — the most relaxed activity level. On a river cruise you unpack once, and the scenery comes to you.
River cruising returns
The group’s love of river cruising hasn’t faded. When the Magical Rhine & Moselle Rivers cruise for September 2027 was announced, the first 40 cabins were claimed within 24 hours. A Holland & Belgium springtime river cruise is planned for April 2029.
